Level Devil

A World of Non-Straight Paths

Metaxis challenges your sense of direction and focus as you explore a maze suspended high above a dark void. Your goal is clear: gather the required coins and keys scattered throughout the stage before finding the final gate. The environment, however, is deceptive—narrow walkways twist unexpectedly, and danger lurks at every turn. One wrong step can send you back to the beginning, turning progress into a constant test of memory and precision.

Motion Is Survival

At the heart of Metaxis lies a unique rule: never stop moving. A glowing green energy bar displayed on the screen represents your energy. It remains full as long as you stay in motion, but once you pause, it begins to drain. Allow it to empty completely, and you’ll be pulled back to your starting point. This mechanic transforms exploration into a dance of movement and momentum.

Trials of Navigation

The maze is not linear because of turns, which are dead ends meant to trick the player. Please rely on the guidance arrows to find the correct path. Observation and timing are key, especially as each level increases in complexity. Every stage introduces tighter spaces and faster reactions, demanding mastery over both movement and control. You can also choose between two difficulty levels: relaxing or painful.

Reaching the Final Gate

After gathering all coins and keys, your last task is to locate the exit gate and unlock it to finish the stage. Success rewards persistence, patience, and coordination. Each completed level leads to tougher environments, sharper turns, and more intricate layouts. Metaxis offers more than simple movement—it’s a journey of awareness, flow, and constant adaptation, where standing still is the greatest danger of all.
